Quinlan, TX — October 15, 2025 — The City of Quinlan is excited to announce that construction of Quinlan Community Park Phase 3 will begin on Monday, October 20, 2025. On that date, North Rock Construction will begin placing barricades in preparation for the work. The playground area will remain open throughout construction, while a large portion of the park will be closed. Construction will start in early November and is expected to continue until summer 2026, when the entire park will reopen.

Quinlan Community Park is a joint project of the Quinlan Independent School District (QISD) and the City of Quinlan. QISD owns the land and manages the day-to-day operations of the park with financial support from the City of Quinlan. The school district, the city, and the Quinlan Economic Development Corporation have partnered on Phase 3 of the park, a project funded in part by a park grant from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. Improvements in Phase 3 include trail lighting, exercise stations, pickleball courts, a multi-purpose field, native landscaping, signage, disc golf launch pads, and site furniture. The total budget for the project is $493,000.
